MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Love had just finished carrying his Minnesota Timberwolves over . Marc Gasol Jersey .500 for the first time since Nov. 23, playing the entire second half and over 43 minutes to make it happen. So naturally, he hit the weight room after the game. Without his Bruise Brother Nikola Pekovic by his side for at least another week, Love knows hes going to be tested like he rarely has before. Love had 30 points and 14 rebounds to help the Timberwolves grind out an 88-77 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. "I was a little upset with myself with some of the shots I took that I felt like I couldve made," said Love was of 11 of 26 and 1 for 6 on 3-pointers. "The ball didnt feel great tonight. Thats the way it goes sometimes. If I can do that and we can win without Pek, thats a good sign." Kevin Martin added 18 points on 7-of-18 shooting and six boards for the Timberwolves (23-22) in their first game without Pekovic, who is expected to miss at least a week with bursitis in his right ankle. They still managed to get over .500 after failing in their previous 10 chances to do so. Al-Farouq Aminu had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Pelicans, who were missing star forward Anthony Davis with a dislocated left index finger. They shot 35 per cent and managed a season-low 35 points in the first half to snap a three-game winning streak. Davis was injured in the victory over the Cavaliers on Tuesday night, but coach Monty Williams said he was playing it safe with his franchise player and expected him to return on Saturday against Chicago. "He can knock down the mid-range shot down so a lot of their bigs were in the paint just helping and we had to go up against a big every time," said Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans, who had 11 points on 4-for-15 shooting. "So it was pretty tough." In an ugly game for both teams, the Pelicans managed to hang around and trailed by five heading into the fourth. But Love, who played the entire second half, scored six straight points during an 8-0 burst to open the quarter and help the Wolves win for the fifth time in six games. "With Pek out, we really have to find a way to relieve the pressure off (Love), move him around and stuff," Wolves coach Rick Adelman said. "We know teams are going to come at him. ... So we have to find ways to figure it out." Both teams looked lost without their lynch pins in the paint in the first half. The Pelicans, who also are missing Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson, hovered around 25 per cent shooting for most of the first quarter and were still at 30 per cent late into the third quarter against a Wolves defence that has been among the worst in the league from a field goal percentage basis. Without Pekovic commanding double teams and bulling his way to the basket, the Wolves have had to focus more on the defensive end. That left Love to go to work on the offensive end, and he was more aggressive looking for his shot than he has been with the big fella next to him in the frontcourt. In his first game at home since he was voted in as an All-Star starter for the Western Conference, Love came out firing, taking nine shots and attacking the glass. And when point guard Ricky Rubio went to the bench early in the third quarter with four fouls, Love started distributing more, picking up five assists to help the Wolves push back against the plucky Pelicans. "I know some of our guys are a bit overwhelmed with trying to play at a high level, but we had our chances," New Orleans coach Monty Williams said. "This is when you have to step up and we just didnt do it tonight. That happens." NOTES: Eric Gordon scored 14 on 5 for 17 shooting for New Orleans. ... Before the game started, Love grabbed the mic and thanked the Wolves fans for voting him as a starter in the All-Star game. He posted his NBA-leading 27th game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. ... Greg Stiemsma started in place of Davis and finished with three points and 12 rebounds and has grabbed at least 10 boards in two straight games. Shareef Abdur-Rahim Jersey . 22. Wade averaged 26.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals while leading the Heat to a 3-0 record. The 31-year-old shot 60 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range en route to his 17th weekly honor. Lorenzen Wright Jersey . The government says top golfers are expected to compete in the PGA Tour event at the Ashburn Golf Club in the suburb of Fall River from July 3-6 and again next year.Jim Furyk isnt really concerned with the fact that his last bogey came on the fourth hole on Thursday. He isnt even concerned that since that time, hes rattled off 16 birdies. Or by the fact that hes one-putt 24 times. He isnt awed by his prowess at hitting fairways, where hes tied for third with a percentage just below 80, or greens, where he leads the field after finding 45 of 54. All he cares about is that hes leading. "Its really not important," said the 44-year-old of his bogey-free run. "I know its something that the media outside wanted to talk about. What is important is Im 15-under and if that was with 25 birdies and 10 bogeys or 16 birdies and one bogey, its really not that important. I would take another 65 tomorrow with as many bogeys as can be on the card." Furyk is a guy who truly amazes me. Not because of his wonky swing that was once described by David Feherty as looking like an octopus falling out of a tree. That swing is so bullet-proof to me. It just works over and over. Rather, he amazes me with his smarts, his insight, his attention to detail. Its as unique as his swing. Last week, after he finished up at Royal Liverpool, I asked him what he remembered about Royal Montreal. He told me old-school golf course with modern greens and then went into a little more detail about the Dick Wilson design that was re-modeled by Rees Jones before the 2007 Presidents Cup. I cant remember what I had for breakfast and he gave me a pretty good synopsis of a course he hadnt seen in seven years. That, to me, is Jim Furyk. Hes a guy who listens to your question, thinks about a response and then gives you something great. Almost every time. He doesnt really have a cliché in his body, I suspect. I remember after he stumbled down the stretch at the U.S. Open at the Olympic Club two years ago. The tournament was his to win until he messed up the 16th holes. He took full responsibility - in fact, his exact quote was: "I have no one to blame but myself." You dont hear that too often out here. Its usually about the wind gusting a shot or a bump in the greens throwing a putt off line or a camera or a noisyy butterfly landing a hole away. Mike Conley Jersey. I digress. Today, Furyk goes to the first tee in control of the tournament. He leads by three and you know he already has a game plan formulated for Royal Montreal. He told us hes going to check the weather out tonight. Not just the rain and storms expected but also the wind. Yup, the wind direction, which will affect his game plan. And hell take a load of experience too. No one in the field has been in the position hes in more than him. Sometimes he wins, more often hes lost - thats just the nature of golf. Hes had a share of the lead heading to the final round 25 times in his career and hes won 10 times. "You know, I think its always nice to have experience in rounds," he said. "Whether Ive played well, whether youve won or ended up not winning the golf tournament, you draw from both experiences. The guys out here have played so well for three days already, everyone is capable." Perhaps the only question mark on his docket is the fact he hasnt won since 2010. Hes had a number of chances - including a couple of runner-up finishes this year - but never closed things out. "Sometimes I just got outplayed," he said. "Case in point would be Jason Dufner at the PGA last year. Other times I felt like I got in my own way and that would be Akron and Keegan Bradley and not closing it out when I had the opportunity." Sunday Furyk can join some select company if he does win. Just three players have three wins in the Open, but its a pretty good lineup: Tommy Armour, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino. Only one has more, that would be Leo Diegel with four. Hes also be the third oldest golfer to win the national championship behind Mark Calcavecchia and Bob Tway. Right now, based on his play through the first three rounds, it would be hard to imagine Furyk losing, but as he knows only too well, funny stuff happens in golf. Theres no sure thing, no guarantees. The only thing certain is that Furyk will step up to the first tee, and set out towards what he hopes will be 17th PGA Tour victory. Not bad for a guy with a swing that wont be in any text book. Cheap Jerseys Store Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale Black NFL Jerseys China NFL Gear NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL T-shirts From China ' ' '

TORONTO - Sunday afternoons track meet with the fleet-footed Suns left the Raptors in a daze, but one player was feeling it more than the others. Travis Zajac Jersey . With just over 90 seconds remaining, down by nine in a game Toronto would go on to lose 121-113, Kyle Lowry - the Raptors most irreplaceable player - clutched his head, as he remained sprawled out on the court across from the teams bench. Scrambling for a loose ball moments earlier, Lowry took two inadvertent knees to the head from Suns 235-pound forward P.J. Tucker. Assisted by his teammates and the medical staff, the Raptors point guard walked gingerly to the bench where he was examined briefly during the timeout but would ultimately stay in the game. "Hes fine," Dwane Casey said after the game, but Lowrys assessment was a little less comforting. "I got kneed in the head, bad," he told reporters. "Ive got a headache right now. These (television) lights are killing me right now. But Im alright, though." Has he suffered a concussion before? Was he concerned that he may have suffered one that afternoon? Lowry balked at those questions. "No, Im tough," he said with a laugh, as if that could shield him from possible head injury. For those familiar with Lowry, one thing was for certain. He was not coming out of that game voluntarily. Sure enough, he shook it off and played the final 1:36, badly missing his next shot, a three coming out of the timeout. After a slow start, Lowry scored all but two of his team-high 28 points during the Raptors second half push. Ultimately he and his club could not overcome Phoenixs dynamic backcourt and devastating team speed. "Their speed and quickness was the biggest factor," Casey said after his team surrendered 121 points, most since they lost a Jan. 25 shootout to the Clippers. "Speed does that," he continued. "Speed kills. Thats the whole bottom line. We wont see a faster team than that the rest of the year. It caused a lot of breakdowns." With the tandem of Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe setting the tone for Phoenix, the Raptors were forced out of their comfort zone, playing at a tempo that suited the Suns high-octane attack. "Thats their type of game," Lowry admitted. "We dont want to have no type of game like that. We want to hold teams under 100, under 90, preferably." The Raptors, who had not lost a game by more than five points in over a month, were holding their previous nine opponents at home to 91.3 in regulation. For the first time over that stretch, they seemed to let their own frustration get the better of them. Usually a calm, cool and collected bunch, the Raptors got caught up arguing with the officials during a third quarter in which the Suns shot 23 free throws, including 10 from Bledsoe alone. The afternoon mercifully came to an end with reserve forward Steve Novak confronting a teammate on Torontos bench as Jonas Valanciunas played peacemaker and held him back. Novak would not say he was shouting at, or why and insisted, its a non-issue. Despite a bit of understandable post-game tension in the teams locker room, there was an underlying feeling of calmness, stemming from their unflappable head coach. "Its not a systemic problem," Casey insisted. "Its not a situation where (we should) panic. Its one game. We knew we werent going to go undefeated the rest of the way. That team right there, theyre fighting for their playoff lives like we are." Of course, that wasnt the case back in December when Toronto last visited the Suns. In the midst of a Western road trip, the Raptors dropped their fifth straight and fell six games below the .500 mark for the only time this season. It was an undeniable low point for the squad before their fortunes turned two days later, as Rudy Gay was traded. Even after Sundays loss, they are 31-16 since that game in Phoenix. In a couple losses to the Suns - the Western Conferences feel-good story - this season, the Raptors have been out-rebounded by 36, grabbing a season-low 26 on Sunday, allowing a total of 227 points.  Missing Patterson Without Patrick Patterson, missing his fourth straight game with an elbow ligament sprain, the Raptors undermanned second unit was thoroughly outplayed Sunday. The Suns finished with a 59-11 advantage in bench scoring, led by the 28 points of Gerald Green - a starter until Bledsoe returned from injury - and the Morris twins, who Patterson likely would have guarded. "Once Patrick gets back we have offence coming off the bench, which is huge, everybody kind of gets back in their place," said Casey, who wasnt concerned about long-term ramifications of the benchs underwhelming performance. "Again, no time to panic. Weve showed that weve played against quality teams without Pat. Weve got to continue to do that." Patterson will be re-evaluated Monday and the team hopes to have him back in the lineup sometime this coming week. Johnson climbs franchise block list With his swat on Tucker midway through the first quarter, Amir Johnson passed Antonio Davis for third on the Raptors all-time block list. Johnson, who leads Toronto with 73 blocked shots this season, has recorded 406 since being acquired by the Raptors ahead of the 2009-10 campaign. He is now 9 blocks away from tying Vince Carter for second-most in franchise history. Chris Bosh is the Raptors all-time leader with 600. The Stat DeMar DeRozan, who scored 17, has been held under 20 points in consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 20-23. The Raptors all-star guard tallied 16 points on Friday in a challenging matchup against the Grizzlies Tayshaun Prince and Tony Allen before facing Tucker and the Suns Sunday. The Quote "Its just tough when you go out there playing hard and sometimes we dont get a call that were fighting or dying for, that we may need at a critical time," said DeRozan, who was whistled for a technical, along with Casey, after voicing his disapproval of a no-call on a drive to the basket in the third quarter. "Its definitely tough but its something we can learn from." Mirco Mueller Jersey .com) - The collective hearts of Chicago Bulls fans sank on Friday night when Derrick Rose went down with a leg injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brian Boyle Jersey . Spains victory rendered Frances 3-0 win against Finland meaningless as Spain needed just one point to secure passage to Brazil. Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema scored either side of Joona Toivios own-goal as France advanced to the playoff among the eight best second-place finishers.A $40 million settlement has been completed that will pay college football and basketball players dating to 2003 for the use of their likenesses in NCAA-branded videogames. The payouts could go to more than 100,000 athletes, including some current players, who were either on college rosters or had their images used in videogames made by Electronic Arts featuring college teams. Lawyers for the plaintiffs say it would be the first time college athletes will be paid for the commercial use of their images. Depending on how many athletes apply for the settlement, the payments could range from as little as $48 for each year an athlete was on a roster to $951 for each year the image of an athlete was used in a videogame. "Were incredibly pleased with the results of this settlement and the opportunity to right a huge wrong enacted by the NCAA and EA against these players and their rights of publicity," said Steve Berman, one of the lead attorneys in the case. "Weve fought against intense legal hurdles since filing this case in 2009 and to see this case come to fruition is a certain victory." The settlement is with Electronic Arts and Collegiate Licensing Co., which licenses and markets college sports, and does not include the NCAA. The case against the NCAA is scheduled for trial early next year. Plaintiffs in the case, which dates to 2009, contend the NCAA conspired with Electronic Arts and Collegiate Licensing Co. to illegally use their images in videogames. U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken still must approve the proposed settlement, which comes on the eve of a major antitrust trial against the NCAA that could reshappe the way college sports operate. Nico Hischier Jersey. That case, featuring former UCLA basketball star Ed OBannon and others as lead plaintiffs, goes to trial June 9 in Oakland, California. According to documents filed with the court late Friday, attorneys for OBannon and 20 other plaintiffs say they have already run up legal fees exceeding $30 million and expenses of more than $4 million in pressing their case. They are seeking an injunction that would stop the NCAA from enforcing rules that prohibit athletes from profiting from their play in college. OBannon, who led UCLA to a national title in 1995, is also part of the group settling with EA Sports and Collegiate Licensing Co. Also covered by the settlement are suits brought by former Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller, former West Virginia football player Shawne Alston and former Rutgers player Ryan Hart. According to the filing, a pool of money will be available to players after attorneys take 33 per cent of the proposed settlement and up to $2.5 million in expenses. Named plaintiffs like OBannon and Keller will receive $15,000, while others who joined the suit later would get $2,500 or $5,000. The majority of the money, however, will go to athletes who file for claims, a group that attorneys say could contain between 140,000 and 200,000 players who were on football and basketball rosters from 2003 on. The final payouts will depend on how many of those athletes file claims in the class-action case. EA Sports announced last year it would stop making the long-running NCAA football videogame series because of the litigation and other issues in securing licensing rights. Cheap Jerseys Store Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale Black NFL Jerseys China NFL Gear NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL T-shirts From China ' ' '

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg set the fastest time in Saturdays pre-qualifying practice session for the season-opening Formula One Australian Grand Prix, well clear of his rivals. #4 Belgium Dedryck Boyata Mens Jersey - Authentic Light Blue Away Short Shirt 2016 UEFA European Football Championship Soccer Adidas . Rosberg was 1.4 seconds quicker than the next fastest driver, Jenson Button of McLaren, around the Albert Park street circuit. Ferraris Fernando Alonso was third fastest, narrowly ahead of Rosbergs teammate Lewis Hamilton, while four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull was down in 12th place, 2.8 seconds off the pace and complaining on his radio about his car. "The car is horrible," Vettel radioed to his garage. An engineer replied: "Can you explain what is horrible?" Vettel responded: "Drivability, the car doesnt accelerate." His teammate Daniel Ricciardo fared better, setting the fifth fastest time, less than a hundredth of a second ahead of Force Indias Nico Hulkenberg. Despite dark clouds around Melbourne, rain held off for the practice session but was forecast to arrive later Saturday and may affect qualifying. Ferraris Kimi Raikkonen was seventh on the timesheets, ahead of McLaren rookie Kevin Magnussen, Force Indias Sergio Perez and Williams driver Felipe Massa. The Caterham cars finally got out on track for a full session after doing next-to-no running on Friday, but Lotus continued to have reliability problems. Romain Grosjean did not complete a lap, while Pastor Maldonado got through the session but his car coasted to a halt on track soon after it finished. Jordan Lukaku Belgium Jersey . While organizers havent decided if itll be red or green clay, they feel their choice of surface will give the Americans an advantage over Britain, which is expected to be led by defending Wimbledon champion Andy Murray.CALGARY -- Most expected that Mike Cammalleri would be on a different team by the NHL trade deadline, helping a playoff contender win games down the stretch. Instead, he remained in Calgary where his red-hot scoring is helping the Flames chalk up victories. Cammalleris 20th goal of the season midway through the third period was the game-winner Tuesday night as Calgary downed the visiting Buffalo Sabres 3-1. Mikael Backlund beat Matt Ellis on a faceoff in the Sabres end, drawing the puck back to Chris Butler. The defencemans shot was neatly deflected by Cammalleri past Nathan Lieuwen. Cammalleri has seven goals in his last nine games. That comes after a stretch leading up to the NHL trade deadline in which he had one goal in 14 games. "I thought a few weeks ago he was shooting as well as he is now, but it just seemed the puck would find a pad or find a post or miss the net. Right now, Cammys on fire," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. The 31-year-old, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer if he doesnt re-sign, takes over the team lead in goals from rookie Sean Monahan. "Its not a surprise to us," said Hartley. "Hes very talented. Hes Johnny-on-the-spot. He has that knack to find that open space around the net." The Flames have been particularly hot at the Scotiabank Saddledome winning nine of their last 11. "Its fun to play well at home. We love our fan support," Cammalleri said. "In the first period, we didnt really have the bite to our game that we would have liked to but Im proud of the group to get it going again and playing the last 40 the way we wanted to." Joe Colborne and Paul Byron also scored for Calgary (28-34-7). Butler added two assists. Drew Stafford scored for Buffalo (19-42-8). The last place Sabres, who have dropped seven games in a row, are 13 points back of 29th place Edmonton. The Sabres led 1-0 right up until the final two minutes of the first period when a turnover eventually resulted in Colbornes tying goal. "Were playing as well as we can possibly can play on the road. I dont think they had too many chances and all of a sudden we had a one-on-three with two minutes left in the second period and we tried to stickhandle through two guys," said frustrated Sabres coach Ted Nolan. "Its just so disheartening is what it is when you have 90 per cent of the guys going and a few that are not." The Flames got a key insurance goal from Byron at 13:27 of the third, making it 3-1 on Calgarys league-leading 12th short-handed goal of the campaign. After trading Ryan Miller to the St. Louis Blues at the deadline, the Sabres were poised to moove forward with the goaltending tandem of Jhonas Enroth and newly acquired Michal Neuvirth. Laurent Depoitre Belgium Jersey. However, injuries to both of them resulted in the Sabres opening a five-game road trip with Lieuwen, 22, making his NHL debut while his back-up -- with 13 NHL games of experience -- was Matt Hackett. It was just three days ago that they were the goaltending duo with Buffalos American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester. "It felt really good to get on the ice and be in that atmosphere. That experience, it was incredible," said the six-foot-five goaltender from Abbotsford, B.C., who finished with 23 saves. Among the friends and family in attendance to watch him live were his wife, his parents and his brother. Down 1-0, Calgary carried the play in the second period but Lieuwen stood tall and kept them at bay. He made a blocker save off Mikael Backlund, a glove grab off Cammalleri, and another big stop on Byron on a power play. The Flames finally broke through and when Colborne tied it with 1:02 remaining. "Overall I thought he played well," said Nolan. Buffalo entered the night struggling mightily, amassing just five goals in six straight regulation-time losses. Stafford had three of them and he kept up his hot hand, scoring the opening goal at 13:22 of the first period after a giveaway by Ben Hanowski. But that would be it for Sabres, who managed just 14 shots on rookie Flames goaltender Joni Ortio, who evened his record at 4-4-0. "Extremely frustrating. Weve been lacking offence. Ive felt as though for the most part weve gotten stellar goaltending and tonight we cleaned up our defensive game for the most part, especially in the neutral zone. It was one of our better efforts," said Stafford. Nolan says his team needs to seize the chances they get to shoot the puck. "Its pretty tough when you have a shot in the slot and you pass it to the far side corner for a different shot. I dont know. You cant score if you dont shoot. Were in positions, we get the puck to shoot, then we pass it off for some reason. Im not too sure why." Notes: Calgary C Matt Stajan returned to the Flames line-up. He was away from the club for 13 days and missed eight games after the death of his son Emerson following childbirth two weeks ago... Not dressed for Calgary was rookie Kenny Agostino. Signed on Monday after Yales NCAA season came to an end, coach Bob Hartley said he would make his NHL debut Friday against Nashville... Buffalo C Torrey Mitchell (lower body) returned after missing six games... Buffalo led after the first period for only the 11th time, which is lowest in the league. They are 4-6-1. Cheap Jerseys Store Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Outlet Wholesale Black NFL Jerseys China NFL Gear NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL T-shirts From China ' ' '

MINNEAPOLIS -- Candace Parker and the Sparks jumped with joy on the court, joined in celebration by a guy named Magic Johnson who once made basketball championships a habit in Los Angeles. 49ers Official Jerseys .Parkers old college coach, the late Pat Summitt, was there in spirit too.Nneka Ogwumikes short jumper with 3.1 seconds left, off the rebound of her blocked shot, gave the Sparks a 77-76 victory over the defending champion Minnesota Lynx in the deciding Game 5 of the WNBA Finals on Thursday night for the franchises first title in 14 years.Parker had 28 points and 12 rebounds to earn MVP honors of the Finals and her first WNBA title, capping a trying year marked by the death of the beloved Summitt, with whom she won two NCAA championships at Tennessee. Parker also was left off the U.S. Olympic team after helping them to a gold medal in the previous two Games. The journey to get here I wouldnt have wanted to do it with anybody else, Parker said. Its amazing when you surround yourself with good people how fun it is.Sparks coach Brian Agler started his postgame news conference by playing a recording of the Tennessee fight song, Rocky Top, from a phone in front of him at the podium. Parker cried as she leaned over to hug her coach.Ive never been around somebody that has been critiqued so hard, Agler said, and Ive never been around anyone Im happy for than Candace.Said Ogwumike: Shes been through so much. Shes probably the most misunderstood person in the league. I told her I wanted her to get one.Parker heard Summitts voice in her head, recalling the time-worn advice to focus on defense and rebounding. You cant control if shots go in or shots dont, but what you can control is defense and rebounding, Parker said.Rebekkah Brunson made one of two free throws with 23.4 seconds left to give the Lynx a 74-73 lead. Parker answered with a layup on the other end that Maya Moore countered with a jumper. Then Ogwumike hustled her way over to the loose ball after Sylvia Folwes blocked her first attempt. She coolly swished it.Lindsay Whalens heave from just inside halfcourt bounced high off the backboard, setting off the celebration for the Sparks and silencing the sellout crowd of 19,423.Moore had 23 points and 11 assists for the Lynx, who fell short of matching the WNBA record of four championships. The Houston Comets won four straight titles from 1997-2000. The Lynx played in the finals for the fifth time in the last six years. They won three. The team that won this game deserved to win the game, Moore said, so its just hard to have it come that close.Chelsea Gray reeled off 11 consecutive points for the Sparks, capping that run with a smooth up-and-under layup to put them in front 60-59 early in the fourth quarter. Parkers putback with 3:06 left gave L.A. a 71-63 lead, putting the Lynx in trouble. But Moore seized the moment with a 3-pointer that brought Minnesota within four points, and Parker forced an off-balance 3 on the other end. Whalen stole the ball from Kristi Toliver and finished the fast break with a layup to tie the game at 71, setting up the final flurry. On the next play, Ogwumike hit a jumper that appeared to come after the shot clock expired. The officials signaled for a review but never looked at the basket. Los Angeles led 73-71 with just over a minute left. Seimone Augustus answered with a jumper, but those points proved to be critical.Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve, making sure to credit the Sparks for their performance was livid about the non-call afterward. Its not enough just to apologize and send out a memo that they got something wrong, OK? These players are so invested, and something must be done about the officiating in this league. Because it is not fair to these great players that we have, Reeve said. The WNBAs new postseason format with the field ordered by overall record regardless of conference sure worked well, leading to this classic matchup between the two teams that fought all summer for the top seed and featuring several of the leagues biggest stars.I hope that we gained a lot of fans from around the world and around this country, Augustus said. The game was remarkably close, with 24 lead changes and 11 ties with no team ever leading by double digits.CHAMPIONSHIP ATMOSPHEREThe sea of green T-shirts donned by almost everyone in the crowd produced a deafening soundtrack from start to finish befitting a game for the trophy.Even Johnson was there, wearing all black while sitting courtside to root for the Sparks team hes a part-owner of and spoke to after the loss at home in Game 4 on Sunday. His presence was all the more impressive considering the Dodgers, the other pro club hes invested in, were playing baseball in Los Angeles at the same time in Game 5 of their National League championship series. They had to believe they could do it on a tough home court. This team Minnesota is tremendous, Johnson said. We just beat the champions so I give them a lot of credit to.WOLF TRACKSThe Lynx had celebrity backing, too, with Timberwolves players including Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, Cole Aldrich and Nemanja Belica in the seats to support the women they share an arena with. Marcell Harris Jersey . 4 Villanova with a 96-68 drubbing on Monday. OAKLAND, Calif. -- Left-hander Cole Hamels has a gaudy 14-5 record and solid 3.42 ERA in his first full season with the first-place Texas Rangers, but has struggled down the stretch. In his past four starts, Hamels is 0-1 with a 10.50 ERA over 18 innings. He allowed 25 hits and 21 runs while walking 14 and striking out 20 during that span, which included a rough outing a week ago in Arlington against the Oakland Athletics.Hamels gave up six runs and two homers over six innings and had a no-decision in the 7-6 Rangers victory against Oakland on Sept. 16.One week later, Hamels gets a rematch against the As and right-hander Kendall Graveman on Friday night at the Oakland Coliseum. With the postseason quickly approaching, Hamels is running out of time to get back on track, but Rangers manager Jeff Banister isnt worried.I dont have a lot of concern for Cole, Banister said after Hamels last outing. This is a premier pitcher that I feel confident is going to get himself right and is going to put quality starts together for us, and hell be ready when we need him.Hamels gave up home runs to As outfielders Khris Davis and Brett Eibner last week, but also walked three batters, continuing a trend. In his past four starts he has averaged 3.5 walks. The walks hurt me again, Hamels said. Thats four games in a row where walks have really been the deciding factor. Its unacceptable on my part just in the sense of what Im capable of doing and what is expected when I go out there. The Rangers magic number to win the American League West was cut to one Thursday night when second-place Houston lost to the Los Angeles Angels 2-0.Graveman (10-10) is 9-4 with a 3.78 ERA over his past 20 outings, but had a nightmarish game two starts ago against Seattle, giving up 12 hits and eight runs over five innings in a 14-3 loss. Graveman pitched much better in his next start against Texas. He gave up fourr runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings. Wholesale 49ers Jerseys. He left the game with a 6-3 lead but got a no-decision.The one against Seattle wasnt good, Graveman said Wednesday. I didnt have great stuff. But I felt the one in Texas I threw the ball really well. I gave my team a chance to win. Something I didnt do against Seattle.Thats my goal every time I go out is, first off, pitch deep in the ball game, and second off, be able when I come out to say that hey, we either have a lead or a chance to win a ball game. That was one of the things you kind of take away from that, a positive attitude and get ready to get out there and face that same team again in a couple days.As manager Bob Melvin liked what he saw from Graveman against Texas.I thought he threw the ball well the last time out, Melvin said. The time before he struggled some, but last time out I thought he threw the ball well. It was really hot that night, but I thought he threw the ball the way weve seen him here the better part of the last couple months.Hamels has faced the As twice this season and has two no-decisions. On May 17 in Oakland, he gave up three earned runs over 6 2/3 innings in an 8-5 loss but allowed three solo home runs, two to Davis and one to Danny Valencia.Davis has hit 10 of his team-high 40 home runs this season against the Rangers. In 15 games versus Texas, hes hitting .370 with 24 RBI, a .444 on-base percentage and a 1.019 slugging percentage. When the As took two of three games from Texas in Arlington last weekend, Davis hit three home runs -- one each off Hamels, Colby Lewis and Keone Kela.Davis missed the final two games of Oaklands three-game series against Houston with a stomach ailment, but after an off day Thursday, is expected to return to action against Texas. NFL Jerseys Cheap Stitched Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Discount Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2019 China NFL Hoodies ' ' '

ATLANTA -- Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker expects Joe Ross to return from the 60-day disabled list Sunday and make his first start since July 2. Nike Tn Bianche .Baker will keep Ross on a pitch count, probably no more than three innings, when Washington closes a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves.Ross has been sidelined with right shoulder inflammation. He went 7-4 with a 3.49 ERA in 16 starts before getting hurt. With a magic number of six to clinch the NL East, Baker wants to use the last two weeks of the regular season to set up his rotation for the playoffs, but Ross role is uncertain.Well see how his arm feels, Baker said Saturday. Then well increase the workload as he can or maybe see how he does out of the pen. Its just important to us that he gets on a mound and in a game before we start worrying about what we can expect from him.Max Scherzer, Tanner Roark and Gio Gonzalez are set as the top three with two-time All-Star Stephen Strasburg sidelined with a strained flexor mass in his right forearm. He hasnt made a start since lasting 2 1/3 innings in a Sept. 7 start against the Braves.Strasburg began exercising his arm Friday and threw for a few minutes Saturday, but Baker had no timetable for a possible return. ESTERO, Fla. -- Kristy Wallace is a bit of a wanderer. She traveled more than 8,000 miles from her native Australia to play at Baylor, one of the top programs in womens college basketball, and shes been roving ever since arriving in Texas two years ago from Loganholme in southeastern Queensland. Whether taking a holiday trip to Colorado, meandering away from teammates on a visit to Universal Studios or just pedaling her Schwinn around campus, she seems to always be on the move.Kristy is known for being a roamer, said Lady Bears forward Dekeiya Cohen. If we all go someplace, we look around like, Wheres Kristy? Thats her role. We always look out for Kristy. No matter where we go, Wheres Kristy? Wheres Kristy? As soon as we get somewhere, she automatically goes exploring.Wallace acknowledges her adventurous streak and recalled with a laugh the time she got lost riding her bike to Best Buy from the Waco campus as a freshman.I dont know how many miles it was, but I found myself in a sketchy part of town, said Wallace, who is 20. I havent made that trip again.Wallace, a combo guard, cant be contained by mere geography on the court, either. During last weeks 84-42 win over Kent State in the Gulf Coast Showcase at Germain Arena, she was seemingly everywhere.Early in the game, the 5-foot-11 junior blocked a shot at one end of the court and buried a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession. Soon after, she missed a jumper from the right side but flew in to grab a rebound at the other end of the floor seconds later. When Lady Bears forward Alexis Prince was inadvertently struck in the mouth during play, Wallace was quick to come over to check on her teammate. Late in the game with the Bears holding a big lead, Wallace was the first one off the bench to greet teammates coming out of the game.No one outworks Kristy, said longtime Baylor coach Kim Mulkey. She works, works, works, and when were not practicing, shes up at the gym. Shes constantly active and moving. She never tires. She makes you work hard because shes working so hard. The Lady Bears, ranked No. 5 in the AP poll at the time, followed the Kent State game with a 104-72 win over No. 18 DePaul and an emphatic 85-68 victory against No. 8 Ohio State in the Showcase final. In that contest, Wallace drew the assignment of guarding the Buckeyes leading scorer, All-American guard Kelsey Mitchell, who wound up fouling out after scoring a season-low 17 points on 5-for-20 shooting. After racking up 25 points, 14 rebounds and 25 assists in those three games, Wallace was named MVP of the tournament. She just brings that spark, said Lady Bears forward Nina Davis. If theres a loose ball on the floor, you know that Kristy is going to dive for it. Shes going to take the charge. She does all the little things. She brings so much energy to the game, and it helps everyyone else elevate their game. Nike Air VaporMax ID. allace is described as energetic, feisty and aggressive on the court and funny, friendly and free-spirited away from the gym. She already has a wealth of international experience, having captained the Australian national squad that beat Spain to win the bronze medal at the U19 world championship last year in Russia. She also helped lead Australia to titles at the 2013 FIBA U19 Pacific Championship and the 2014 FIBA U18 Oceania Championship.Kristy isnt the only athlete in the Wallace family. Sister Nikki, 22, is a standout in Australian rules football and was drafted by the Brisbane Lions ahead of the inaugural 2017 AFLW season. But Kristy said her strong work ethic comes from her father, John.At a young age, he shaped me to work hard, Wallace said. It didnt necessarily have to be basketball. It could be anything at all. He encouraged me to work my butt off and step my game up in anything I did.Wallace is majoring in kinesiology, but make no mistake, she intends to play for many years to come. She plans to pursue professional basketball after college and dreams of one day representing Australia in the Olympics.Thats definitely the goal, Wallace, who also would like to establish her own charitable foundation eventually. Id love to travel and help people around the world. I want to go wherever God takes me, and whatever opportunity comes up would be fantastic. But first things first. Wallace and the Lady Bears (7-1), who moved up to a No. 4 ranking this week, are determined to compete for a national championship. The Final Four will be held in Dallas, just 95 miles up Interstate 35 from Waco -- almost close enough to reach by bicycle. However, for the Lady Bears to get there, they will need Wallace to play at a high level and help lead the way. Baylors 72-61 loss at defending NCAA champion Connecticut on Nov. 17 showed the Lady Bears where they need to focus in order to compete against the nations best teams. They sat in the film room with me for three hours, Mulkey said. So we learned a great deal about toughness and making plays in the crunch. ... Its not about missing shots. Thats part of the game. Its intangibles that separate two teams of equal talent.Mulkey calls Wallace a key cog to everything were trying to do. Wallace, in turn, relishes her role and cant imagine playing at any other school. She was raised as a Baptist, and, in addition to boasting a storied womens basketball tradition, Baylor is the largest Baptist college in the world.Baylor is a great fit for me, Wallace said. It has that Christian atmosphere. They win championships, and thats what I wanted to do coming in. I had a great gut feeling about Baylor. NFL Jerseys CheapStitched Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Discount Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2019 China NFL Hoodies ' ' '

PHOENIX -- Mike Hazen seemingly had the perfect job, working in his hometown as the general manager of the Boston Red Sox.One aspect was missing: Final say in baseball decisions. That belonged to president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski. So even though Arizona is on the other side of the country and the franchise has been stuck in a rut, Hazen jumped at the chance to become vice president and general manager of the Diamondbacks. There are some great players here and my job is to help bring this franchise to the next level, Hazen said during his introductory news conference Monday. Its an enormous responsibility and were here to make a commitment to the fans. First and foremost were here to win a championship. With the addition of Hazen, Tony La Russa will shift from chief baseball officer into an advisory role. He had been in charge of the Diamondbacks baseball operations since May 2014.I have 50 years of teaching and developed credibility and trust, La Russa said. If I left after the season we had, I couldnt live with that the rest of my life.Arizona was searching for someone with a blend of traditional baseball evaluation skills and analytics after firing GM Dave Stewart a day after the 2016 season end.The 40-year-old Hazen fits those skill sets.He was a two-time All-Ivy League player at Princeton and played two seasons in the minors after graduating and being drafted by the San Diego Padres in 1998.Hazen spent five seasons with the Cleveland Indians, working in scouting and player development, before moving to Boston. He worked 11 seasons with the Red Sox, winning World Series titles in 2007 and 2013 while making the postseason five times.Hazen was involved in every aspect of baaseball operations in Boston and spent four seasons as assistant GM before being promoted to vice president and general manager before the 2016 season. Air Max 98 Supreme Pas Cher. es been a part of championships, hes been a leader, hell be a leader here and will, without a doubt, outwork us all, Diamondbacks managing general partner Ken Kendrick said.Hazens first order of business will be to replace manager Chip Hale, who was fired the same day as Stewart. He could turn to Phil Nevin, the manager of Arizonas Triple-A affiliate, who interviewed for the job when Hale was hired.Another potential candidate could be Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo, who has a good relationship with Hazen. In my opinion, he is ready to be a major league manager, Dombrowski said from Boston. Whether he would be their top choice, I cant say. We would not stand in his way. After that, Hazen will begin reshaping an organization that has had only brief periods of success since winning the 2001 World Series.Arizona won the 2011 NL West title, but followed that with five straight non-winning seasons. The Diamondbacks went 79-83 in their first season under Stewart and Hale, but took a step back this season (69-93) despite adding pitchers Zack Greinke and Shelby Miller.I want to help in any way possible in my role to make this a great franchise -- it is a great franchise -- to take it to another level, Hazen said. It will be my goal every day I come to work, itll be the goal of all those who work beside me and Im excited to start doing that.---AP Sports Writer Jimmy Golen in Boston contributed to this report. NFL Jerseys Cheap Stitched Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Discount JerseysCheap Jerseys 2019 China NFL Hoodies ' ' '

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. Giants Saquon Barkley Jersey . -- There are plenty of new wide receivers on the field at the New England Patriots off-season workouts. Only three of the 12 on the roster are holdovers from last year. Gone are Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd and Deion Branch. The new group is led by Danny Amendola. After Tuesdays practice during organized team activities, Amendola said the receivers are working together to help each other learn the complex playbook. He says thats similar to the one he had with the St. Louis Rams when current Patriots offensive co-ordinator Josh McDaniels held that same position. But he says the Patriots playbook is more intricate. Julian Edelman and Matthew Slater are the only Patriots wide receivers who have caught passes from New England quarterback Tom Brady. SUNRISE, Fla. -- Jonathan Huberdeaus $35.4 million, six-year extension was formally announced by the Florida Panthers on Wednesday, the forward becoming yet another piece of the teams young core to be locked into a long-term deal this year.So far in 2016 alone, the Panthers have committed more than $184 million in contracts to five players who are all age 25 or younger. Aleksander Barkov signed an extension in January, and Aaron Ekblad, Vincent Trocheck, Reilly Smith and now Huberdeau all got extensions done this summer. That total doesnt even count the deal Nick Bjugstad signed late in 2014, nor does it include the acquisition of All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle or the retaining of Jaromir Jagr this offseason.Panthers President Dale Tallon said Huberdeau is a highly talented and dynamic player who is another important piece of our teams young core. The Panthers won the Atlantic Division last season, reaching the playoffs for the second time since 2000. They open training camp later this month.Huberdeaus deal -- which was confirmed Tuesday by agent Allan Walsh -- givess the Panthers 10 players who are under NHL contracts for at least the next four seasons. Womens Saquon Barkley Jersey. Ekblad is under contract through 2025, Yandle through 2023 and Barkov, Trocheck and Smith all through 2022.Huberdeau was essentially the last offseason question mark, at least in terms of when a new deal was coming. The 2013 Calder Trophy winner had a career-best 20 goals and 59 points last season, the point total being third-best on the Panthers as hes flourished on a line with Barkov and Jagr.In each of his last two seasons he has posted over 50 points and has developed into a key component of our teams offense, Tallon said.Huberdeau has 58 goals and 114 assists in 272 NHL games, all with Florida. NFL Jerseys Cheap Stitched Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Discount Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2019China NFL Hoodies ' ' '

SEATTLE -- As his career has progressed, Seattles Richard Sherman has become more adept at shadowing a specific wide receiver instead of concentrating on covering one side of the field. Nike Zoom All Out Low Grey Mens .He may have quite the challenge coming up Sunday: Atlantas Julio Jones, just two weeks removed from racking up 300 yards receiving against Carolina.I watch the wide receiver play in Julio, hes one the very greatest football minds at his position. He has a real understanding of the game, the coverage, the leverage and that was one of the things when I first met Sherm, said Atlanta head coach and former Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. I was so impressed with his football knowledge growing stronger through the years. Thatll be a classic matchup that were looking forward to being a part of.Yes, even the coaches are excited to see how this one plays out. While its not certain Sherman will match up on Jones exclusively, there have been plenty of assumptions this week that that will be the case. And should they face off, there wont be any acrimony. Jones and Sherman have become friends off the field after meeting at the Pro Bowl.Hes a fascinating dude, Sherman said.Once criticized for only playing left cornerback, Sherman has taken on more responsibility for following the opponents top wide receiver in recent seasons. Among those hes chased around are Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, Torrey Smith, A.J. Green and two weeks ago, Brandon Marshall.Marshall got the better of Sherman in the first half of the Week 4 meeting between the Jets and Seahawks. But Sherman came out on top , with Seattle winning 27-17 and Sherman having his first two-interception game since the 2014 season.Jones said he doesnt know what to expect from the Seahawks. If thats what they think is going to slow me down or give them the best chance at being successful, thats what theyre going to do. Im not their coach to decide that. Its whatever they do, Jones said. Im not calling anyone out or anything; nor am I going to shy away from competition. Im definitely going to compete every play, it doesnt matter whos guarding me.Two weeks ago, Jones posted one of the best games ever by an NFL receiver. He finished with 12 catches for exactly 300 yards in the win over Carolina, becoming the sixth player to have 300 or more yards receiving in a game. Jones averaged an astounding 25 yards per reception. But he was quieted last week against Denver. The Broncos werent going to let Jones have another huge game, putting double coverage on him for most of the game and holding him to two catches for 29 yards. The Seahawks are viewing that game against Denver as an anomaly.Hes been a great player for a long time, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. He came out as a great one. Hes just got marvelous talents, and hes really fast when he gets going down field, and hes a big playmaker and all that.Shermans shadowing of top wide receivers is also an acknowledgement of the versatility in Seattle secondary. DeShawn Shead and Jeremy Lane both have experience playing as nickel cornerbacks defending slot receives and playing on the outside. Their skills give Sherman the freedom to roam.It gets easier the more you do it. If you never dribble with your left hand and they ask you to dribble with your right, youre not going to be great at dribbling with your left hand. But if they ask you to dribble both, youll be adept at it, Sherman said. Its been something thats been fun for me. Whenever they ask me to do it, whenever the challenge presents itself or a team, its always their decision. Its not like I get to pick or choose which games I do it.Game notes Jones (knee) returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. Jones said the day off was precautionary. Im good to go, he said. ... The Falcons hope both starting LBs Deion Jones (ankle) and DeVondre Campbell (ankle) will be able to play. Campbell has missed the past four games, while Jones missed last Sundays win over Denver. ... Seattle QB Russell Wilson said Thursday hes feeling way better, coming off the bye. For domestic heavyweight Mosharraf Hossain to return to the Bangladesh ODI squad, it needed a by-chance intervention from Venkatapathy Raju. The former India spinner was in Dhaka to conduct a ten-day spin bowling camp in mid-August. After watching left-arm spinner Mosharraf, Raju spoke about him to Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, who brought him into the preliminary squad midway into its pre-season training camp. In less than a month, he is in line to play international cricket after eight years.[Venkatapathy] Raju said I have variation and extra bounce, Mosharraf told ESPNcricinfo after joining the preliminary squad. It gave me confidence. In our country, there is more emphasis on the negative parts of a cricketer. You can even find fault in [Muttiah] Muralitharan if you are looking for it. They look for problems here. But there is about 90% positive in a cricketer. Raju focused on the things that work in my bowling. He said that I have a good overall record. He said I was unlucky and that I should be playing [at the top level]. For someone who has taken more than 300 first-class wickets, been a proven match-winner in the Dhaka Premier League, and the Man of the Match in a Bangladesh Premier League final, this was just reward, but perhaps a bit of luck was at play too: here was someone who couldnt break into the national team for a long time despite being a regular top performer in domestic cricket, but he gets unexpectedly and immediately called up on the word of a foreign coach visiting on a brief stint. Then again, Mosharrafs career had already been marked by misfortune, with two major incidents almost derailing it.The first was a few months after his international debut in 2008, when he joined the now-defunct rebel Indian Cricket League as part of the Dhaka Warriors team. Mosharraf, 26 at the time, was among the defecting players banned for ten years by the BCB; the following year, after they had quit the league, they were given indemnity.Mosharraf said had he foreseen the backlash from the BCB, media and fans, he wouldnt have gone to the ICL. I was quite young when I went to play in the ICL. The contract with them was that we would play two tournaments per year, and we were free to play everything else for the rest of the time. I thought it was a good offer, but when we arrived in India, the scenario had changed [back in Bangladesh].The reaction was such that we felt that we were in trouble. We didnt think at first that we would be cornered but I would call it bad luck. If I had known this would have been the situation, I wouldnt have gone. Then there was the second major incident: whenn he was caught up in the BPL corruption investigation in 2013. Nike Zoom Fly 2 Black. He was provisionally banned for eight months, before the investigating tribunal announced that he was not guilty of any wrongdoing and the ban was lifted. This was also bad luck, Mosharraf said. I dont think about it anymore. I was just playing a game and then few months later I heard it became a major issue. It was likely clouded decision-making on his part that led to the defection to the ICL, and a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time in the BPL 2013, but now Mosharraf gets another chance on the back of his consistency with bat and ball. After completing the camp under Raju, he had gone on a holiday to India with his wife when the call came. Within a day of his arrival, he was asked to return to Dhaka quickly and join the preliminary squad camp. They dont usually call up a player in the middle of a camp, so I was happier. I was in India when selector Sumon bhai [Habibul Bashar] got in touch with me through my [journalist] friend Zahid Chowdhury. He said I have to join the Bangladesh camp. There were no air tickets, all of which seemed to be booked till August 30. I took a taxi from Kolkata to the border in Benapole. The situation was quite difficult but when they recognised me, they helped me get through immigration quickly. Then I took another taxi till Jessore, from where I caught a flight to Dhaka the next morning and joined training that day.Mosharrafs domestic numbers back up the call. In the recently concluded Dhaka Premier League one-day tournament, he took 12 wickets and scored 350 runs in 14 matches for Legends of Rupganj. This form, and not his age, Mosharraf said should be taken into account.I have done well on some important occasions, in the BPL final and also in the ICL where I bowled to international cricketers. I took big wickets like Inzamam-ul-Haq, Damien Martyn. I have been consistent in domestic cricket, in the National Cricket League, Bangladesh Cricket League, Dhaka Premier League and the BPL. I havent really fallen into poor form in the domestic scene.Performance should always be taken into account. If a player has fitness and performance, then those should be given priority. A much older player like Misbah-ul-Haq is doing so well while another who comes from the Under-19s into the national team can fail at the highest level. Now that he has got his chance, the in-form Mosharraf will be hoping to put the controversies behind him and make headlines for the right reasons. NFL Jerseys Cheap Stitched Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Wholesale Throwback Jerseys Discount Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2019China NFL Hoodies ' ' '
